The French are renowned for their fantastic food & wine, which can be enjoyed in the wealth of cafes & restaurants found in Cannes. These range from the very lavish for a special night out, to small friendly bistros where you can enjoy an inexpensive 3 course meal, with locally produced wine. Here are some excellent restaurants to suit all budgets and occasions.

Le Rendezvous

Despite the front-line location, they serve a very reasonable 3 course set menu for 21.50€, which offers a good selection of great food – especially the desserts! Glamorously refurbished, there is a small open air terrace upstairs in the warmer months. Highly recommended.

Le Suquetan

Another tiny restaurant in the Suquet – serving very good value lunch of traditional French cuisine. Le Suquetan's minimalist decor of red benches and grey walls belies the traditional French cuisine de grand-mère, which includes foie gras and good salads.

Palme d'Or

Prepared using the finest local produce, Chef Christian Willer's elaborate creations are served on the specially designed, 1930s-style tableware, and it has an excellent wine list to match. You can enjoy gourmet cuisine with a distinctly Provençal flavor in equally attractive surroundings; a bright, sunny dining room with windows on three sides and the added bonus of a fantastic sea view from the terrace. This is an expensive restaurant, but they often have very good lunch time deals that are worth trying. Lunch Tuesday to Saturday - 12:30 to 14:00 Dinner Tuesday to Saturday - 20:00 to 22:00

Open from 8.00am – 2.30am, Pastis offers breakfast through to night-time aperitifs. There is a good selection of salads, sandwiches, omlettes, pizzas, pastas, all of good quality.
